About this Cook
I met my Toad Prince through eHarmony June 24, 2007. We bought a house in April of 2008 and were married June 24, 2008. We have a four year old son who loves cooking in the kitchen with Mommy. I just LOVE my new kitchen. My only requirement in my house was that my kitchen be big and I got that and much more. I teach 1st grade, so even though I cook nearly every night I don't always get much time to cook.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking anything with chocolate because I just LOVE chocolate. I enjoy modifying recipes, sometimes they end in disaster, but usually they end up being pretty good.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love baking during the holidays, cookies, mini-cheesecakes, brownies, you name it I love baking it.
My cooking triumphs
One Thanksgiving I cooked an apple pie. But on the top of the crust I used leaves from my yard and cut leaves out of the crust and pressed them in enough for them to imprint. I glazed the top with egg yokes for color. It was really pretty, I hated to eat it, but it tasted really good too.
My cooking tragedies
I left some brownies cooking at my little house in my parents backyard, while I went to their house. I ran to my house an hour and a half later to find charcoal in my pan. It smelled my house up for at least a week. I also tried making Baklava once and I burned it. Though I later found out my oven does not display the correct temperature.

Crunchy Peanut Butter Balls
These are delicious! I didn't have marshmallow creme so I microwaved for 30 seconds 18 large caramel vanilla marshmallows. I also put them in the fridge before dipping and after dipping. My family loved them!

Zucchini Souffle
Delicious and easy. I grated the zucchini and onion. I also added rosemary in with the zucchini and onion and omitted the parsley. I'll definitely be making it again.
