Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Followed recipe EXACTLY as written, all I got was giant burnt on mess, and a curdled cheese soupy-undercooked casserole. My suggestion- try another recipe. I have no idea how this could have turned out so terrible.

Restaurant-Quality Baked Potato Soup

hmm... when i read all the rave reviews i was SO excited. baked potato soup is my favorite, i always get it at my favorite restaurant. but this to me tasted more like instant potatoes than anything else, and i felt the chicken broth really over powered the flavor. i think next time, i will go with a recipe which uses real potatoes as the base. the texture was strange, runny/glue like. i would try another recipe if you're looking for a real restaurant style baked potato soup.

Sunday Dinner Rolls

i didn't have any issues with this recipe. not sticky for me at all, actually had a perfect texture and was very workable. my only problem was with taste. they were very sweet, but not much else :( i even brushed with melted butter. i had high hopes, but i will keep this recipe for cinnamon rolls dough. i did use my bread maker on the dough cycle. i don't know if maybe that could have affected the taste.

Pizza Dough I

if this recipe could have 10 stars, it would not be enough! this is, by far, the BEST pizza dough recipe i have ever come across. SO forgiving! i did toss it in the bread maker and allowed rising time. i also did prebake the crust about 15 minutes at 350. just a tip, try brushing the prebaked crust with melted butter. it give the pizza a flakey golden crust. it is much more attactive. you can also brush in garlic and dried herbs. i doubled the recipe, used half for pizza and made bread sticks and "cinnastix" with the rest. all very delicious, no left overs! TRY THIS RECIPE!!!!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

what an aroma! these little goodies are in my oven right now and my whole house smells delicious! followed the recipe exactly. the ones that have come out so far have been very good. the first bathc was a little on the "skinny" side, but still quite tasty! i stuck the ones that are in the oven now in the freezer for a few in hopes of stiffening them up, they look "fatter" so we'll see how that works. i would give the recipe itself a 5, it is a great C.C. cookie recipe. i do, however, prefer Beth's C.C. cookie recipe on this site. great for a change, TRY THEM!!!!

Banana Crumb Muffins

this recipe is very easy to make, and versatile. i had a ton of past ripe bananas on my hands, so i ended up quadrupling the recipe. i was out of cinnamon, so i substituted allspice. i only used a tiny sprinkle of the crumb mixture and added quick oats to the crumb mixture as was suggested by other reviewers. they were a little sweeter than i'm used to, but over all very good. i made mini loaves and mega muffins, also added some extra blueberries i had on hand to the muffins. very good recipe, this might replace my usual banana bread :)

Ciabatta Bread

followed the recipe, wasn't overly sticky. dough handled well, smelled great, i added a dash of rosemary and garlic. texture was disappointing. very spongy on the inside. not really like any ciabatta i've ever had. but, eh. to each there own.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

absolute BEST alfredo recipe i have ever used! rivals the olive garden for sure. i didn't have enough parm. cheese, so i used what i had, about 5 oz. came out absolutely wonderful, i had no problems. i could recommend this recipe to anyone new to sauces, or even an expert looking for a foolproof plan! thank you, thank you, thank you!

Crazy Crust Pizza Dough

crazy is right... if i could give 0 stars for any recipe, this would be it. i followed the recipe to the t, not only was the "crust" thinner than a tortila, it bubbled 2 inches across the entire tray. it was so crisp, when i tried to flip it, it cracked in two. i tried a pinch to judge the taste, all i have to say is over cooked omlet. absolutely the biggest disappointment i have ever seen in all my years in the kitchen. god bless those of you who gave a positive review, but i just cannot for the life of me understand how mine came out so terrible!

Blueberry Crumb Muffins

I have no idea what I did wrong... I followed the recipe to the T and they came out like burnt stones. The butter from the crumb mixture melted down and burnt the bottoms, the sugar mixure on top melted and burned and cemented itself to the pan... Everything that could have possibly gone wrong did. I will try this recipe again, just because I have never in my life burned anything before this and I am terribly disheartened. Maybe when I make it again, I will nix the crumb topping. In any case, I'm out the blueberries that where ridiculously expensive and a surprise breakfast treat for my boyfriend. :(

Unbelievable Rolls

absolutely beyond amazing. this will be the ONLY dinner roll made in my house from now on. directions are a little strange, but they yeild the promised unbelievable results. follow past reviews, add salt after adding flour, makes 26 large rolls. A+ thanks for the wonderful recipe! :)

Stuffed Shells III

Everyone loved this recipe. It was super quick and easy. I used a 12oz box of jumbo shells and still had a cup and a half left of the cheese mixture. I nixed the mushrooms and added oregano and garlic powder instead. Was great the next day reheated. Awesome recipe, will DEFINITELY be making this one again.

Grocery Store Frosting

I LOVE THIS FROSTING!!! It came out spectacular. Used only one tablespoon of water instead of two, also added just a little hint of pure orange extract. Try many extracts for variations. Used it to frost cookies, stayed soft enough to enjoy, but hardened just enough so it wasn't messy. I won't be using Duncan Hines to frost my cookies anymore! Also, I used an eclectic hand mixer and cut the recipe way way down, makes a ton!
