I am a 24 year Occupational Therapist at a Rehab Hospital, married for 2 years, and trying to find time to keep up with this cooking scene! I've been baking since I was little, but I'm learning how to come up with new dinners that keep me excited to make them!
My favorite things to cook
I love trying out new things, so I love this website. I tend to go for things with higher ratings because I don't like to get disappointed!
Favorite things:
Pies, Desserts, Chicken, Baked ziti... Anything that someone asks me to make again! My husband gets mad that I rarely make the same thing again. I have to use the recipe box option or I forget I've even made something :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every fall I like to make a pear pie. When I lived with my parents, I would use the pears in our backyard, but the store ones are usually just as good!
I also love making this fabulous carrot cake (I should share the recipe!) for Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
I am happy anytime I successfully have a dinner for more than four people. Guess that might change as I get older, but for now, that's my triumph!
My cooking tragedies
As I said, I love to bake. Even if I have perfected something, I'll try out a new recipe. But it was a disaster when I tried out the perfect, big, chewy, chocolate chip cookie recipe. Oh well, you can't win them all!
