About this Cook
I have loved to cook and experiment since I was about 12 or 13 years old. Summer jobs at a white water rafting business (in the kitchen) provided plenty of learning opportunities and great food. The owners were German and quite picky about the food and as a result we ate very well!
My favorite things to cook
I love preparing big meals with lots of flavor. I love flavored vegetable dishes whether it be grilled on the BBQ or in a stir fry or a simple side dish--I love to dress it up!

Lisa's Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake
This was fantastic, rich and moist with great flavour. I made it twice in one week for two different family birthdays and it got rave reviews. Will definitely make again and again. I drizzled it with a chocolate glaze and served it with a raspberry sauce the first time, but not necessary. Great on its own!

Tomato Basil Pasta
We love this recipe. Even my children who are known to be picky at times gobble it right up. I use grape tomatoes halved, green onion along with white onion, probably more garlic than it calls for and add extra parmesan. I prefer it warm rather than cold, but it is good cold if you add a little red wine vinegar. Have made it for company and family and they love it too and have asked for the recipe! Now a regular side dish at our house!
