Abalos-Style Hamburger Soup (Picadillo Filipino)
I gave this a 5 star for its simplicity and ease. It's also different from the other stews because of the addition of the fish sauce. It gives it a bolder flavor. Be careful with it though...if you're not used to it, it might be a bit much. So cut it down to just about 1 tbsp. It is definitely meant to be eaten with rice. And don't use ground beef with more than 15% fat otherwise it'll be too greasy. Thank you for the recipe. My boys loved it!

Russian Green Bean and Potato Soup
Stir flour into sour cream WELL. I didn't mix mine enough and when I stirred the cream/flour mix into the soup, it lumped up and so I had to scoop out the lumps and mash them through a sieve. My son thought it was missing something so I followed the suggestion of a reviewer and chopped kielbasa into his and he loved it. Go easy on the kraut juice as this may make it too salty/sour. Also, the dill looks pretty but my boys don't like it at all so replaced that with green onion. Overall very tasty with strong sour/salty flavors which I love but may not be for everyone.

Tuna Piccata Pasta Salad
This is a healthy, economical, tasty dish with lots of zip and versatility. It's great as is or as the other reviewers suggest, you can use this as a base and add whatever you like. I added white beans for fiber, corn for color and tofu cutlets for even more protein. It all worked nicely. Just make sure to make more sauce if you add more igredients.
