About this Cook
I love to bake for myself, but I eat too much of it! I end up baking for others, and getting a small share is just enough!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake cookies, plus any kind of dessert. I also enjoy making pies when I have the time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother passed along a wonderful drop sugar cookie recipe that I use often. I also love to have corn pudding at Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
I have an awesome peanut butter cookie that I created, based on another recipe but making several changes until I think it's the ultimate. I also make a mean pie crust that took 3 years to perfect.
My cooking tragedies
My first year making pie crust was pretty much a tragedy! I've had some cookie failures and some bread machine problems, but I've been pretty lucky.

Hamburger Pie
I made this for years for my family growing up after a friend brought it over when my grampa died. Taught my husband to make it when he took over cooking dinner. He makes it with deerburger now, adds garlic, thyme, and basil while browning, uses the cheapest tomato soup I can find, and instant potatoes on top. We love this!

Crispy Rice Cereal Balls
These are great! I would make one suggestion - you can crush the krispies for a smoother filling. We made little mice shapes and garnished with half peanuts for ears and a pretzel stick tail.
