Easy Corn and Crab Chowder

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I have been looking for a corn chowder recipe and this one fit perfectly. The only adjustments I made were to use 4 TBSP of butter, added some Old Bay to taste, chopped garlic and chopped up celery. It does take some time but well worth it!!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
After eading all the reviews I decided to try this recipe, really it can't much easier then this. The root beer was different but good. I found tenderloin on sale at the store so it was perfect. I figure which ever BBQ sauce bought will give the flavor of your choice, so if the flavor isn't to your liking try a different sauce the next time. I will definitely be making this again

Apple Cake V

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
Very good cake. I did follow the advice of others and decreased the oil to 3/4c. and added 1/2c.of chuncky applesauce, all I had in the pantry. Also cut back on the sugar to 1 1/2c. Turned out pretty good, very moist, but it is missing something, I think I may try adding 1 tsp. of nutmeg and also cinnammon next time..

Ultimate Roast Beef Blues Sandwich

Very good recipe. I put the sandwich under the broiler for a few minutes, open faced. Also broiled the top of the bread before putting together. The basil really adds a good flavor to it...

This cake is so easy but oohh so good. I add 1 teaspoon lemon juice to the batter. Also I like to add a TBSP of brown sugar to the topping, a little extra flavor. Great for BBQ's picnics.

Great cookie recipe, I didn't have enough cinammon for the cinammon/sugar to roll the cookies in, but they still turned out good.

Lemon Square Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
I have made these twice so far, both times I took the pan home empty. Followed the recipe exactly, it does seem to be softer in the center, but I let them set overnight, which I feel helps them to set, then cut into small squares, wiping the knife after each cut. Delicious!!!!!

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2007
This is the best Bruschetta recipe ever, and so easy to prepare. I made it yesterday for a family dinner, everyone loved it. The only changes made were more garlic and adding a few tablespoons shredded parmesan cheese to the mixture. Toasted the baguette slices and served, allowed individuals to spoon mixture onto slices. The sun-dried tomatoes definately add a unique taste to this recipe. Will be making this again!!

Andrea's Pasta Fagioli

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2007
Excellent recipe, I took the advice of others and used 2-14oz cans diced tomatoes in place of the sauce. Doubled the onions and garlic, used chicken broth instead of water. Added 1/2lb italian sausage, casing removed and cooked, decreased the pasta to 1/2lb. Sprinkled the parmesan cheese onto each individual bowl just before serving. Will be making again....

Caramel Shortbread Squares

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2006
These are absolutely delicious. 5+ stars!!!!!! I made them on a whim, the recipe looked good plus I had all the ingedients on hand. I took these to a party and everyone went back for seconds, thirds, and so on. Used the whole bag of milk chocolate chips and sprinkled with chopped walnuts, will try with semi-sweet chips next time. A little hard cutting, but if you use a nonstick pan, coat with nonstick butter spray, you can get the whole thing out and cut on a cutting board, just run the knife around the edges to loosen first.
