Butter Cream Frosting II

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
Awesome, simply awesome. I stuck to the recipe ingredients 100%. Since my husband was frosting a cake for me I can tell you in all honesty I saw that man throw all the ingredients in a bowl, throw the beater on hi for a sec and it came out perfect.....no creaming of margarine and shortening required lol!:)

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
These would possibly be better if they were made into regular muffins, I'm just not sure. Made to the letter and found the nutmeg over powering and no resemblence to a donut. In the recipe's defense no baked item could taste like a fried one anyway. Glad I didn't make for company and will try making as large muffins.

Baked Cider Doughnuts

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2011
I lived in NH for years and this is how to make the donuts. I haven't tried your recipe but the ingredients are right on. I remember my first time not really liking them but the grew on me. It may not be what people are thinking of when they think of traditional donut but for what your recipe says it is correct

Lap Salad

This is so great. I bring it to BBQ's and I will admit not too many try it, even when I say it's amazing. I usually bring a ton home which is great for me. I personally use less oil and think I used at least some sesame oil in place of some veg and it made an awesome difference. I added dried cranberries which made a great flavor addition.

Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
Salty; way too salty. They simply resemble deviled eggs made with Miracle Whip, nothing more. Please, at the very least omit the salt if you try this. My husband and I will pretty much eat anything, so I'm really disapointed with these.

There are not enough stars for me to rate. I used lemon cake mix and they were to die for, I mean really. My mother in law was here and we could all use extra points lol! I really hope you try it. I think many variations of cake mix could be used. Thanks for the great one!

Three Cheese Manicotti

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
It was good; not sure about the sour cream, just found a weird aftertaste. Not really sure why there was breadcrumbs in the mixture and lack of egg. The fact it was different made me want to try it, but think I will stick with the age old traditional cheeserecipe. Hubby seemed to like it though.

Uncooked Banana Pudding

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
I was about to make banana pudding dessert because I had some Nilla wafers and remember my husband said he liked it. Not sure why but I asked him how, and he said just mash up cookies add pudding and bananas.....ugh. I found this and WOW, it is to die for. So easy, made it in under 10 mins. Used banana pudding bacause that's what I had. Great one thanks! *QUICK TIP*.....A reviewer mentioned that the filling was watery prior to filling. Because it's instant pudding, throw it in the fridge for just a few minutes and it thickens right up to perfect consistency

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
This was the best I've made. It was right on, no changes. It wasn't super sweet, leaving room for the awesome banana flavor. I typically add mayo to my baked goods, and I think the sour cream was the same concept.

Very simple and easy, no surprises here. I have to admit I tripled the bread crumb mixture, I wanted it to cover the entire casserole.

This stuff is really great! I've made it several times. I did double the sauce and served it over white rice with steamed brocoli on the side.

Pesto Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
Super amazing! Made the adjustments others have, as far as cooking with the oil from the sundried tomatoes. This is just fantastic. Served with rotini because that's the closest my store had to bow tie. Although I'm not new to the kitchen, I highly encourage those who are to try this. It's so easy and gourmet (not low fat but that's what running is for:)

Grilled Zucchini II

My husband and I both thought these tasted like warm pickles. I kept my opinion to myself to see if it was just me, but then he pushed his portion onto my plate and said the same thing!

Secret Kiss Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
Soooo great!~ I used golden cake mix with milk chocolate frosting (all store bought; I was on a time crunch). I just dropped the kisses in and gave them a little tap. Don't worry about a large part of the top of the kiss poking out; the cupcake will cover is while baking. These were a hit. What a great idea!!!

Korean BBQ Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
My review for this is a little odd. I reduced the marinade, as many others, thickened it and made a sauce. THIS was awesome. I love to used Wondra, as I find cornstarch tends to make this type of sauce "slimy". I have come to decide, however I'm not a fan of poultry marinaded in soy sauce (especially with lemon or lime juice as it tends to "cook" the chicken). I feel it just comes out with an odd taste and texture. Next time I make this I will grill unmarinaded chicken by itself and use the sauce to cover the dish(I served the chicken atop rice with steamed brocoli on the side)

Best Green Bean Casserole

I couldn't figure out why this recipe missed the mark for me. I realized later that the traditional recipe from Cambells has soy sauce in it. I think this recipe would be perfect with the addition of that ingredient.

This was good, but Im made the mistake of adding more peas because I like a thicker soup. Please don't make this mistake, as my wholoe batch is ruined. The flavor was pretty staight forward; no surprises here.

These were so great! I am desperately looking for new ham recipes to use up Christmas leftovers. I just came upon this and whipped it up in just a few minutes and my husband and I were so happy! I only used ham and cheddar because it was all I had on hand. Thanks for sharing!
