About this Cook
I am in my twenties, and I am still low on the experienced list. But I am always trying new foods and baking! I really enjoy experimenting with food. I like trying different spices on food. When I am not cooking, I am either working, or playing the piano.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking new recipies that I have never tried before. But I have my old favorites that I always enjoy. I love to make my mom's chocolate chip cookie recipie, and I love meatloaf.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandma and I always made cookies whenever I came to her house. We still try to do that as much as possible, but I don't get to go to her house as often as I used to.
My cooking triumphs
Being able to cook a variety of foods would be a triumph for me. My mom always made the same basic foods when I was growing up. And the fact that I can be versatile makes me very happy.
My cooking tragedies
Biscuits. I cannot make them rise. My hubby usually makes them if we want some. He is the best biscuit maker.

Absolute Best Pancake Syrup
I was a little worried about how the buttermilk would make this taste, but I had nothing to worry about! This was the most amazing thing I have ever tasted. We are going to freeze some of the leftovers to see how that does. Thanks for an awesome recipe!

Brown Sugar Sauce
This sauce was excellent! I had it on crepes, but it would be great on pancakes or cake or cheesecake too! Was easy to make too! To reheat the leftovers, I simply added a little water and put in the microwave! Thanks for a great recipe!

Taco Seasoning I
This is awesome seasoning! I am not a big salt person, so I just added a little table salt and left out the salt that it calls for. I used this to make taco samosas. I fried the ground beef, added the seasoning, and put it in puff pastry with some cheese. Then I deep fried it! Will never use a package mix again!
