About this Cook
My name is Tess, and I have been cooking for as long as I can remember. However, I didn't become the prestigious, professional chef that I am today until after retirement.
My favorite things to cook
I make great barbeque ribs, however, on occasion, I like to make smoothies for my great grandchildren.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family has a knack for cooking the best barbeques this side of the Mason-Dixon line.
My cooking triumphs
When I stumbled upon a new recipe for the most delicious honey-barbeque ribs and won a gold medal at a family barbeque reunion.
My cooking tragedies
I burnt my right hand during a cook-off in Washington D.C. I would have won, had this not happened!

Peach Smoothie
I would suggest putting in 3-4 tsp. of sugar and a cup of ice. This was a shoot and a miss!

Triple Threat Fruit Smoothie
Delicious!! Usually I don't like tart smoothies, but this was just right. I would suggest adding one more 1/2 cup of ice, to make it colder and thicker. (who wants a thin smoothie?)

Apple Banana Smoothie
This was ok for a try, although I'd only make it again if these were the only ingredients I had. The apple made it thick and it didn't have much taste. Without ice it is warm and gritty. After I added one and a half cups of ice and a teaspoon of sugar it was ok.
