About this Cook
My Hubby and I have lived for the last 2 yrs with his Mom.She is 81 and no longer able to live alone.Just found out yesterday that she has lung cancer. We have 1 son, 3 GrandBabies living in Alberta Canada.[2,100 miles away] that's where we lived before MIL needed us. I soooo miss the children. I work part time in summer at a RV park just 5 min down the road from home.I am done now for the winter.
My favorite things to cook
apps and entrees really not in to cooking sweets
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas Eve was always fondue night.
My cooking triumphs
Anything that turns out is a triumph
My cooking tragedies
The first turkey I made it turned out great. The tragedy was X in laws called 1 hr before we were to eat and cancelled, as they partied too much the night before! I was so upset I threw the turkey and pan off the 3rd floor balcony and smashed my crystal wine glasses . I was a high strung 18 yr old . I have become much calmer as I aged.LOL LOL!

Exchange Gang Pasta with Shrimp
Awesome ! I added the tomatoes a little later, at the same time as the spinach.

Broccoli and Ramen Noodle Salad
This is a great salad. I mix the dressing in a jar the day before then mix in, add noodles 1 hr before serving, add nuts at the last toss. We never end up with any leftovers as we keep sneaking little bits as It sits on the counter. thanks for a great recipe
