About this Cook
I'm a new attorney and a newlywed :) I'm looking forward to trying lots of new recipes as I start down this new path in life.
My favorite things to cook
Baked goods (I have such a sweet tooth). I've recently started making yeast breads with good results. During the week, I rely heavily on the slow cooker and quick meals, but I love to really go all out for our weekend meals.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom makes the best baked mac & cheese, and every year when we were little we would ask her to make it for our birthday dinner.
My cooking triumphs
I consider it a triumph anytime I try a new recipe and it turns out the great on my first try.
My cooking tragedies
I set a glass dish on a burner on my electric stove, forgetting that the stove was still on. When I smelled something burning, I immediately realized what I had done and removed the dish, which shattered and sent glass and food everywhere.

Ice Cream Sticky Buns
Fabulously easy and delicious. I just used Rhodes frozen dinner rolls and cut them in half. And I did cut the amount of sugar in half and used low-fat ice cream. Thanks for the recipe.

Cake Mix Cookies VIII
Fantastic. I made the recipe as written, but I plan to try it with different cake mix and chip combos.

Honey-Garlic Glazed Meatballs
I halved the recipe, but otherwise followed it exactly. These were good, but I'll probably stick with the Cajun Appetizer Meatballs from this site. Note: I would recommend doubling the glaze if you want to serve the meatballs over rice, noodles, etc.
