Bourbon Street New York Strip Steak
Like others, I didn't use nearly as much burbon as the recipe calls for. I used about a shot cup worth, if that. Also used enough brown sugar to make a nice rub out of it. Let marinade for about an hour before grilling. Very good flavor and the burbon wasn't overwhelming. The sugar makes a nice carmelization on the outside of the meat.

Spicy Grilled Shrimp
Very good. I didn't follow the recipe (I rarely ever do) but read the recipe, then headed to the kitchen to throw it together. But it was very good. Used veg oil, as I was out of EVOO, used crushed red pepper instead of cayenne. Nice and spicy.

Chicken Pot Pie IX
followed several of the other suggestions, pre-baked my pie crust for a few minutes. Sautee'd onion, 2 cloves garlic and celery in butter, then added the chicken to brown, then added chicken broth and veggies to simmer before adding milk/flower to the entire mix. Also added extra pepper, thyme and chicken seasoning. Finally added 1/2 cup of white wine to the mix and put about 1 cup of shredded cheese on top of the mix before adding the top crust and cooking for 40 mins.
