About this Cook
I've been married a year and have been doing the most cooking I've ever done! My husband and I love food but we also love the outdoors, bike riding, walks and the ocean.
My favorite things to cook
different pizza's, mexican, meat and potatoes, soups in the winter, salads...
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up learning to cook Italian food from my Grandparents. There were a lot of pots of tomato sauce, meatballs, and holiday specialties.
My cooking triumphs
It may seem old fashioned and it may change after we've been married for a while but having dinner on the table every night for my husband is a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
when I couldn't keep the salt and pepper grinder together and sprayed sea salt and pepper corns all over my chicken- not once but twice!

Spinach Pie
I liked it..but changed it a bit- used mozzarella instead of feta, omitted the dill and poultry seasoning and added four eggs to make it 'cuttable' ...it was delicious! oh, and I used frozen spinach without any problems, I just made sure that I defrosted it and squeezed all of the water out.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
This cookie had a good flavor but the texture was more cake-like than cookie..also, it was tough making them in my hot kitchen on a warm california christmas day! the dough got all mushy after making about 6 and I had to refrigerate the dough to finish the next day!once chilled it was easy to work with and came out great...I decorated mine by dipping half in melted chocolate, yum!!

Excellent and Healthy Cornbread
great recipe, good flavor and texture...I did add a bit of milk because the mixture seemed too thick
