Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2006
this was VERY easy to make. perfectly gooey/wet inside w/ moist cake outside. mine was a little fragile..although it came out perfectly..it would collapse once put on a plate. only reason i gave it a 4 n' not a 5 is because it wasn't sweet enough for me. i guess i like sweeter chocolate if that makes any sense?

Adobo Chicken with Ginger

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2006
first off...real traditional adobo doesn't have ginger. i made this for dinner tonight followed it to a T except i used 6 chicken breasts and chopped the onions instead of just leaving it smashed and put in 1/2 cup of vinegar instead. i let my hubby taste test it b4 turning off the oven and he said it was bland. so i added a little more soy sauce and i turned it way too salty in my opinion. my hubby's opinion was that it was too sour. i'm giving it a 2 cuz somehow we were still able to eat it...yet alot of leftovers n' i'm sure i'm going to end up throwing it out tomorrow. some advice...watch out on the vinegar...do it by taste i guess and adobo normally doesn't have ginger as part of the ingredient.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2006
easy to make and delicious. used bisquick and followed the recipe to a T except i brushed the biscuits w/ the butter DURING cooking and put 1/4 onion powder and parsley instead of 1/8 and a dash more salt. REALLY close to rL's biscuits!

Pancit

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2006
i haven't tried this recipe since i have my own "family recipe" but i had to respond to MOM2SOFIA's comment. i'm a true filipino. make pancits all the time and family makes it all the time since i was a young child. we filipinos DO NOT use oyster sauce for pancit. it's usually soy sauce and/or patis (fish sauce).

Garlic Shrimp Linguine

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2006
i thought it was pretty good... but i'm only giving it 4 stars because my family didn't seem to like it all that much until i made my revisions. after making it i realize it needs more seasonings. it's quite bland. and yes i agree on others about tripling or quadrupling the amount of sauce. plus for a family of 4....2 kids under 6...i found the noodles too much. next time i'll still triple or quadruple the sauce BUT use alot less noodles than recipe suggested. to make it taste the way we wanted...i aded ALOT of McCormick California style Garlic Salt with parsley. that bottle is awesome for this. oh and i added a bunch of shredded mozzarella on top. w/ my revisions i thought it was 5 stars!

Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2006
i thought this was very flavorful. i must've did something wrong tho. i did everything the recipe said except i replaced the water w/ white wine. i guess i read the reviews wrong n' thought u were supposed to replace it rather than ADD it. the liquid evaporated too quickly and i was left w/ just chicken and no sauce. next time i'll do it exactly and ADD white wine. it was still delicious tho. if i can mess up n' have it taste this good...can't wait to see how good it will taste when i do it right.
