I've been married for 23 yrs, and have 2 children (20 yrs. & 16 yrs. ), both are "picky" eaters, so I became quite adept at camouflaging healthy recipes into "kid friendly" recipes. I like to watch the Food Network channel and so does my 16 yr old, who knows I might have the next "foodie" on my hands! :-)
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking stir fry. The mix of textures and colors bring a party to the mouth!
My favorite family cooking traditions
There are two recipes I only cook twice a year... Green Bean Cass. and Broccoli and Rice Cass.... much to my family's consternation. haha!!
My cooking triumphs
I have mastered the art of not burning the bread. In the early years all toasted bread would be black, so much my children wouldn't eat other's toast unless it was "blackened".
My cooking tragedies
GUMBO!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! Tried to cook Gumbo once... that was 18 yrs ago... haven't tried since!
