I am a 4th grade teacher in Austin, TX. I have a wonderful husband named Bill. I also have a chocolate lab named Guinness, after my husbands favorite beer. My husband has helped open my eyes to try eating a variety of foods including alligator, sardines, asparagus. I ended up liking all these foods and have found that I have gained a new set of confidence in trying to create different cuisines. My husband ends up being my Guinea pig but enjoys the variety none-the-less. When I was young my family would make these amazing sour cream cookies for Christmas. We would spend hours decorating them with frosting, sprinkles, and bonker balls. After 7 tries, I finally figured out the best way to make pumpkin soup! I once made a rhubarb pie from scratch. Everything about it was perfect, except that my sister thought it smelled like chicken. Of course, after she announced it no one would eat it.
