WOW! Made this tonight and just finished it! Wife and kids want this again tommorrow night.Went exactly by recipe, only added 1 bottle of beer.I was unable to find "Old Bay" at our local grocer,so I bought a small bag of "Zatarain Crab Boil" powder. Very easy and delicious.Next time will add crab legs etc.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
"By George" we have a winner! Easily made, easy to tinker with, guaranteed no leftovers.I used 2 1/2 lbs.chili meat instead of ground beef. I did not add 46oz tomato juice. I sub'd water for juice. 1 teaspoon beef base instead of salt. 2 teaspoons cumin. Rinsed/drained both beans together and added last 20 minutes of cook cycle ( they stay whole and will not go mushy on you ). The rest of the ingredients are the same. This will be the one for all time in my family. Remember everybody has different taste, so simmer slowly and take your time adding spices to get your taste buds to smiling! Especially with the cumin!

Shrimp Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
My family liked it, but not I.For me there was the cream cheese that got in the way.To much. Tasted funny. I will try one more time but only will use a 1/4 of it instead of the whole thing.

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
Wow! My wife is always trying to find the best tortilla soup in restaurants. Now she has found it!I did use some previously written review recommendation's. Boiled chicken/garlic first.Let it cool a bit while preparing the same boiled water with the seasoning. Shredded chicken and added 1/2 can "Bush's best" Black beans. I used 1 large red onion for color. The salsa I used was named "Green Mountain Gringo" All natural,no preservatives, medium. This salsa tastes as fresh as fresh can be.I will use it with the recipe as long as I can get it. The kids gobbled it all up too! Great for cold night's. Try this and you will not need to look any further for a recipe/restaurant!

Summer Potato Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2008
I have made this recipe for my family several time's already. For us this is it! Store bought no more! It will help to make this the day before and allow to absorb the flavors.I slow boil the potatoes, not to well done.Firm but not soft. Drain and allow to cool.Mix the sauce/taste and adjust to your palate.Mix it and you will be surprised! Why wait for summer? :)

Stuffed Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
I made this this evening. My wife and kids say it is the best! I agree! Due to lack of ingredients I used a box of stuffing w/sage.I added one bullion cube /pork flavor to water. After stuffing chops,I sprinkled a rosemary/garlic spice on both side's and browned. Placed in baking pan,put remaining stuffing on top of each chop.Next I poured mushroom soup in pan.covered and baked till done.Uncovered and baked additional 10 mins. And watch the family devour it!

Rasta Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
Magnificent! I had one jar of Ragu Garden combination sauce only. So I substituted with one 15oz. can Diced stewed tomatoes.Blended both well in a large bowl. No other changes. The stewed tomatoes I believe, added body and texture. Not just a saucy look.My wife and kids loved it so much we took a picture of it.So much good flavor,so little time to prepare. Thanks!

Low Sugar Oatmeal Raisin Cookie

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
Simple and Great tasting! The only change I made was that I used 1/2 cup "Splenda" instead of 5 packets. Also only had golden raisins handy.I found that the time for baking was perfect.Since you need to cut time when using a artificial sweetner.
