About this Cook
SAHM Two kids, husband, dog, three cats. Food=love. That's what I learned early on. People in my family were happier when there was a big to-do. Food played a big role in that.
My favorite things to cook
Baking is my favorite. I get giddy with holiday baking. Just thinking about it. :-) I LOVE to make homemade soup. Italian Chicken is the best. I got it from a "Taste of Home" mag. Tastes like something from a fancy restaurant.
My cooking triumphs
Eye of Round roast with spinach/cheese/prosciutto mixture stuffed in the middle. It's from a 2004? Rachel Ray show. SO good. And relatively easy and actually fun.
My cooking tragedies
In 1987 I tried to make Spanish Rice (how hard can that be?-lol). To make a long story short, I kid you not, our dog wouldn't even eat it! Pretty funny though.

Granny's Banana Bread
I love that this has no butter. It's very good, though I altered it for my personal preferences. One of the 2.25 c. of flour I used was whole wheat. I put no spices in it, and I think next time, I may add a little salt. I got one full loaf and a mini loaf out of the recipe. My husband likes it a lot so it's a keeper! Thanks. (I'll try to upload a pic)
