About this Cook
I'm pretty much a beginner. There are a few things I cook well, but they're nothing fancy. I'd like to get a lot better, which I suppose is why I'm here.
My favorite things to cook
The things I cook the best are breakfast foods: pancakes, waffles, french toast. I make a pretty good omellete, if I may say so myself. I love most meat dishes, especially beef. Lamb is my favorite meat, so I'm looking for some good lamb recipes. I also love any kind of bread or pastery. And, of course, I love desserts: cakes, pies, cookies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother was an excellent cook; she seemingly knew how to cook anything! As far as traditions, Thanksgiving is what immediately comes to mind. Also, summer barbeques. We don't really need a specific reason to cook special things in my family: anytime is a good time to try interesting new recipes (or old favorites).
My cooking triumphs
It's a triumph anytime I cook something that 1)doesn't burn and 2)doesn't give everyone food poisoning.
My cooking tragedies
Two words: grease fire.

Robert's Rosemary Rub
I used this rub when I made beer can chicken. It worked well; simple, but delicious. I used fresh rosemary instead of dried.
