I work for our county courthouse. I have been married for 13 years and have a daughter in kindergarten and a son in 4th grade. I love comfort food. I love Paula Deen's cooking. I enjoy baking desserts and trying new things. With 2 children and a picky husband, I find using my crockpot as a way to save time. Love this site. Refer to it multiple times a week. As an only child, I did enjoy spending time with my mother in the kitchen even though she worked full time and didn't really spend a lot of time cooking. My father's mother was a great cook and enjoyed cooking. I used to spend a lot of time with her and loved her breaded tenderloins and homemade macaroni and cheese. She always had a true nack for making food very flavorful. Thinking outside the box. I have a hard time thinking of items to substitute if I am out of an ingredient.
