Best Peach Pie Ever!
Best Peach Pie Ever!
About this Cook
I live in the country with my husband of 15 years. I have always loved to garden, cook, sew and enjoy a variety of other crafts.
My favorite things to cook
Anything fattening! It seems the more fattening it is, the better it tastes, ha ha.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving dinner. I love the excitement of getting all the food on the table and it still being hot at the same time.
My cooking triumphs
Chicken Cacciatore. The first time I made it was for a dinner party I had in Utah. A man I met for the first time actually was making noises while eating and then yelled out...This is the best food I ever ate!
My cooking tragedies
My Crisco pie, (not really the name of the pie). Back when I first got married I was making an apple pie. My grandmothers recipe for pie crust called for a cup of Crisco. I noticed that the container of Crisco was 8 ounces and I thought there is 8 ounces in a cup so I don't need to measure it into a cup and then try to scoop it out into the bowl, I'll just use the whole container. Wow, was that some sticky pie crust. Even after I wrestled it into the pie plate and it was baked the top shimmered and wiggled like jell-o. It was then I learned the lesson of the difference between liquid and dry measure.

Peach Pie the Old Fashioned Two Crust Way
This pie was so delicious. It was also very easy to make which is always a pleasure. I did use the lemon juice and did not seem to even notice it. Thanks so much for the wonderful recipe.

Snowballs
During the Christmas holiday I made 6 different types of cookies. These were the easiest and most delicious of them all. I couldn't believe how fast they disappeared. These cookies are absolutly wonderful and are now a permanent part of my Holiday cookie tray. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
