Maple Cream Bonbons

I love, love, love these! I've been making these for friends & family every Christmas & Valentine's Day for 6-7 yrs! I think the butterscotch chips compliment the maple so well-don't substitute!!

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Excellent soup! I didn't use the turkey carcass, just used a chicken base & water to make my broth. Added in leftover turkey, white & dark.

Stuffed Pepper Soup II

I had to make a few changes to get it to a 5 star for our tastes but made it as written the first time. We could barely taste the green pepper, so I ended up DOUBLING the peppers, adding extra garlic & a can of tomato paste. For us, this equaled perfection!

Chunky Cheese Soup

We call this "scalloped potato soup" because it tastes so much like Grandma's scalloped potatoes! It's truly delish! I decreased the salt to just 1/2 tsp for personal preference. Instead of stirring in the cheese, I just topped each bowl w/shredded cheddar. Comfort soup, for sure!!

Cream of Fresh Asparagus Soup II

This is one of the best soups I've ever had! I double the asparagus & only process 1/2 of it so I still have chunks of asparagus. Double the chicken broth also. Top it w/shredded cheddar before serving. Heavenly!

Potato Cheese Casserole

Unbelievably good!! I halved the recipe(& left out the pimientos), thinking only 3 out of 6 of us would eat it & everyone ate & loved it(including my 4 & 5 yr olds). These will be a regular side for us!!

Ruby Drive Sloppy Joes

This is def the best sloppy joe recipe I've tried from AR! The flavor was very different w/the addition of the salsa, however, still just a tad too "ketchupy" & sweet for me. I wish you could give 1/2 stars, this deserves a 4.5!

Fettuccine Alfredo

This was very good! I subbed half & half for the milk because I had a huge carton that needed to be used up. I ended up quadrupling the milk(half & half) because this sauce was sooooo thick. Def, could've thinned out more & still had a super thick sauce but I was afraid the flavor would be bland then.

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

I used 3 HUGE bone-in chicken breasts& had to add 15-18 min onto the cooking time. My potatoes didn't get crispy at all, even after draining the oil & adding an additional 20 min onto their cooking time(after removing the chicken). However, the flavor was GREAT & the chicken as very moist, juicy, & flavorful. I upped all of the herbs a bit & added 1 1/2 tsp of onion powder.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

I really wanted to like these but, unfortunately, these didn't make the cut for me at all. I didn't change anything except omitting the nuts. They baked REALLY flat & were pretty tasteless-no chocolate chip cookie richness whatsoever. Sorry:(

Caramelized Baked Chicken

The flavor of this sauce is amazing! Kind of honey bbq w/an Asian flair. The sauce didn't thicken for me. I actually made the sauce on the stove top & poured it over the chicken but it thinned out as it baked, so I dumped it back into a saucepan to thicken(with some help from a little cornstarch & water). Served w/rice & oriental style green beans. LOVED it!!

Pumpkin Whoopie Pies

Follow this word for word & it's perfection! If you don't flaten your cookies a little, they stay very puffy & don't cook all the way thru(learned from experience:). I didn't think the filling was sweet enough by itself but I tried it all put together & it was PERFECT!! I'll be using this over & over-Thank you!!!

Apple Squares

These were amazing! I used 1 Macintosh apple, which was a little more than 1/2 c, & diced it small. The flavor was incredible & the testure was soft & melt in your mouth! I'd like to experiment w/different toppings other than the cinnamon sugar tho! Thank you-another favorite recipe!!!

Roast Beef Stuffed Shells

Dar's Super Savory Sauerkraut Potato Bake

Fantabulous! I halved the recipe because I just wasn't sure how it would go over & I'm wishing I would've made the whole thiNg-it was GREAT! My 4 yr old had 3 helpings! I didn't use the optional caraway seeds. We'll definately be having this on a regular basis!!
