Frozen Summer Slush

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
This tastes like a DREAMSICLE or an orange push-up! This was good, very sweet. I thought the sprite made it too sweet. Club Soda was better in it for that fizziness. I did put in a cup of vodka ontop of the 2 cups of gin. Everyone still asked if there was alcohol in it. You really cannot taste the alcohol at all. The biggest fan of this punch hates gin too! Thanks for the recipe, it's printed and in my recipe drawer!

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2007
I would say I was so happy to find something I could make in advance, overnight. Mine ended up on the dry side, although the neighbors loved them. I tend to undercook when I bake but it didnt work this time. I will blame it on the weather or the Phoenix climate. I used the cinnabon recipe for the icing, which went over great. Will try again.

Jalapeno Poppers of Champions

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2007
Could these poppers BE any better? I did make with bacon and there are 2 tips I have to offer when using real bacon: 1) Cook at 375 to 400 for about 30 mins, depending on how crispy you like the bacon. (at the 12 minute mark using 350 degrees, my bacon was raw) 2) Use a fatter, rounder cocktail toothpick and soak them in water for about 30 mins before using so that the bacon grease doesnt burn them in the oven. I will be making again. The men last night devoured these in about 20 minutes. So simple and so good!!!

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2007
LOVE IT! Didnt use cilantro, I live in Phoenix and everything has cilantro! It gets old for me. Im sure it is good with it, but I just wanted a good comfort food that reminded me of back east. So easy and so de-lish! Thanks for sharing!

You KNOW it's good when the guys eating it are asking how you made it. Rave reviews everytime! I grew up making is with regular sugar but the powder sugar and vanilla truly make it. Thanks for sharing!

Godd! Not what I was looking for, but it was good. Very holiday, festive tasting with the clove and ginger. Would be good for Christmas or Easter.

Bread and Celery Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
GREAT! Made for Christmas dinner and had one guest come back 3 times for more. Instead of chicken broth I used giblet broth that I made by simmering the giblets in water with onion, celery and poultry seasoning. Probably used several cups of it too. This is a keeper!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2006
This was great. Went by recipe except I only used one can of crm of mush soup and I added carrots, celery and onion. Cooked on high in the crock pot. It was done in 4 hours. Next time I will add mushrooms and peas in the last hour. Great gravy, husband loved it. So did my 8 year old.

London Broil II

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2006
Great marinade. As I was mixing this up I was not very impressed. However it is wonderful right off the grill. I didnt have soy sauce, so I used terriaki (sp?) sauce and I did add brown sugar. Great flavor! First time I have ever cooked london broil and the family loved it. Thanks!

Chicken Noodle Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2006
This was good, I would definitely use chicken broth in lieu of water next time. It is a little bland but that was fine, my daughter loved it with the spaghetti noodles. Fresh herbs would help cure the blandness too. Thanks!
