I could not stop eating this! I did add 2 garlic cloves (minced) with the chicken, but other than that, followed the recipe exactly.

Very good. Personally, I found I didn't pound the pork thin enough, and I did add some extra salt and garlic.

Great, simple recipe. To thicken the sauce, remove it from the heat and give it a few minutes.

This is so easy and quick, and has become a regular in our household. Sometimes I use beef and add garlic and onion with the broth. Great recipe!

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
I LOVED IT! I only gave it four stars because 2 of 3 kids didn't like it, but I'm already planning of ways to present it differently (like maybe adding some rice, celery, etc.). I made it as is, and my husband, daughter, and I loved it. Thanks for this great recipe!

Zucchini Brownies

My husband won't eat anything zucchini-related. Not even bread. I made this for the kids and he requested it for his birthday (I never mentioned the ingredients). It's his new favorite cake, and he has no idea... ;)

This was better than I expected! I'm not crazy about spicy foods, but everyone loved this, even the kids.

Excellent recipe! I have made this about 10 times now, sometimes adding some flax seed meal. Everyone loves it!

California Italian Wedding Soup

I love this soup, and this is by far my most favorite recipe on this site. Imake it at least once a month. After making it so many times, I usually tweak it a bit each time (extra orzo, garlic, celery, extra salt, etc.), but this is a great recipe!

Swedish Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
Awesome! It's not very often a family of five each goes for seconds or thirds, but they did tonight. I didn't have evaporated milk on hand, as I usually do, so I used half & half (about 3/4 c), and I used a can of beef broth instead of the bouillon. They want it again tomorrow - thanks so much for this recipe!

Feta Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Breasts

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
My very picky children loved this recipe. I was a little less thrilled with it (bacon and feta are both very powerful flavors), but I had to write a favorable review based on the kids' reaction. Rarely do they ask for more meat, but they did tonight!

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
To quote my 8 year-old daughter, "wow, this is good!" I also made a few adjustments, based on other reviews. I added mushrooms sauteed in garlic at the end (next time I might be tempted to sautee them in a little white wine). I also added some cooked brown rice and a little extra parmesan. Excellent base recipe.

Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2008
Awesome! I followed the recipe exactly, except I used a little less bread crumbs and a little more onion just to use them up. Next time I make this dish, I will cut the chicken in half lengthwise (I haven't gotten the art of pounding down yet) and pour all the extra breading over it. Even the picky kids asked for seconds!

Chicken Piccata II

Awesome! The kids didn't like it as much as I thought they would, but I think it had more to do with the consistancy than the taste. Next time I'll try to keep the chicken crispier, and I think they'll like it more.

Caribbean-Spiced Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
This wasn't our favorite roast chicken recipe, but it was okay for a break away from our standards. I followed the recipe pretty closely, but added some onion powder (I can't seem to put a chicken in the oven without it). If I make this again, I will omit the cinnamon. It just seems wrong to put cinnamon on chicken (or with chocolate), and I didn't like tasting there, either.

Crabmeat and Corn Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
I had some heavy cream, salt pork and cobbed corn to use up, and found this recipe. Even my picky 5 year old ate some. I also made some changes: I sauteed onions and garlic after cooking the salt pork. I also used 1 c heavy cream, 2 c 1% milk and 2 c seafood stock, and about 3 potatoes (what kept my 5 year old from having more). I used leftover corn from the cob, and canned crab meat. Finally, I didn't add the soy sause right away, but I agree with another poster: try it - it makes the dish! You bet I'll be making this again.

Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

Great for a change in an old favorite! The kids couldn't get enough of them. I added a bit of sour cream, and used a dijon mustard. I also added a pit of paprika for the adults (kids just don't like the look of paprika). Great recipe!
