Oven Baked BBQ Ribs Ala CJ
About this Cook
57 years, married. Wonderful German Spouse. I am a US Air Force military retiree. Have a bunch of cookbooks! Anyone like to trade? Email me at Demilspencer@msn.com
My favorite things to cook
Love reading recipes that make me salivate. Recently discovered that just because a recipe calls for a meat, vegetable or fruit doesn't mean you need to use that particular item...just remember the item density.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Can remember my mom cooking for our family. I wish I would have observed more. Catching up.
My cooking triumphs
My greatest triumph occurred when I was stationed at Sembach Air Base, Germany. I was invited to a late night party and decided to bring along the 12 quart batch of 15 bean soup I had prepared. Just poured it into plastic cups. I receieved many favorable accolades that night. I have also been commended on my innovative Bread Machine baking and regular baking.
My cooking tragedies
I won't say what it was, but it was sooooo simple. I was distracted. Never again! OK!! It was scrambled eggs and cheese.

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage
Wow! What a recipe! I was running like mad..as usual. Discovered I had no sour cream so I used a minty jogurht and substitute 4 cheese mexican blend for the mozzarella. Came out SUPER!!

Pizza Potatoes
Being in my usual hurry, I needed to come up with a quick meal. Kathy's recipe was a godsend. I substituted chopped ham for the pepperoni and put paprika on top of the potatoes before combining them. I also placed slices of buffalo mozzarrella on the dish during the last phase of cooking. Well Done, Kathy.

Oven Baked BBQ Ribs
I didn't have very many guests to plan for when I prepared the recipe. I cut things down signifcantly. Overall it was terrific! My picture could have been enhanced a little. cj spencer
