About this Cook
A newbie vegetarian with a meat loving family, I'm always looking for new and exciting ways to cook using vegetables, beans, and even....tofu!
My favorite things to cook
Soup is the watchword spring, summer, fall, and winter. Soups and breads are my favourite things to cook whatever the weather, and I never get tired of trying new variations on these old standbies.

Almond Rhubarb Coffee Cake
I have a huge rhubarb plant, and have been trying everything to use it up. This was delicious- brought it to a friend's place, and everyone raved over it. I had to bake it for much, much longer than the recipe said, though. Also, I subbed in half the oil with plain yoghurt, and next time I'll add more rhubarb. However, absolutely delicious!

Cowboy Cookies III
Very, very good. The perfect mix of crunchy 'round the edges, chewy and gooey in the middle. They spread quite a bit, which was a pleasant surprise as I like big, flat cookies. My family gave them two blazing thumbs up!

Basic Cheese Polenta
This is the best and easiest breakfast ever! (Or dinner, or lunch, or...) It cooked a lot quicker than the directions said. I also added some chopped chives. So good!
