About this Cook
I'm in my mid 20's, in a wonderful relationship (we're getting married soon), and I'm a medieval re-enactor. The medieval ages hold a lot of draw for myself and my family and we all make it a point to participate in these kinds of events.
My favorite things to cook
Anyting Italian. My Grandmother came off the boat from Italy and started to teach me to cook when I was only 3. I haven't forgotten a thing and cooking and baking are what I do to show my family that I love them.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family always gets the choice of any dish for dinner on their birthdays. It always ends up being my lasagna though.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I manage to cook something Asian. This isn't my area of food. So when it turns out well, I'm happy.
My cooking tragedies
The far, only the jelly muffin recipe on here. Everything else seems to come out rather well.

Baked Yam and Potato Casserole
This was an excellent flavor combination. I made a few adjustments though. I used a deeper dish and did several layerings. I also used beef broth instead of vegetable and eliminated the bread crumbs and flour. I peeled the potatoes as well and added cheese in with every layer, as well as a lot of butter. My husband loved it so much that he ate three helpings and took the rest to work the following day, he even asked me to make it again often.

Pork Chops in Beer
These were great...I did exactly as the recipe said, only I used Guiness instead of beer and were they good. The man loved em too!

Cream Cheese Cookies I
This was great. I took someone's advice and used a full 8oz of cream cheese and cut the flour down to 2 cups. No cookie press, no problem. Don't waste the time, they'll be gone long before anyone can look at them. I also topped each one off with a dollop of cream cheese frosting and wow! The only mistake with this recipe is not quadrupling it!
