I am a 50 something mother of 3 (adults) and for many years I did a lot of cooking but now it is more of a hobby and I like that better. My daughter likes to help me cook when she's here.
My favorite things to cook
I especially like vegetarian dishes and I do wish that this website catered a bit more to vegetarians.

Creamy Floret Bake
I left out the nutmeg and orange peel and I used 2% milk. I love make-ahead dishes. I assembled this in the afternoon, so it was oven-ready at almost-dinnertime. Nicer than plain veg, but not a lot of fuss.

Grandma Winnie's Turkey Stuffing
The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is because I sauteed 8 oz. fresh mushrooms instead of using canned, but this is the best dressing I ever made for Thanksgiving dinner.
