About this Cook
I am 29 years old, and married to a wonderful man Robbie. I have 3 beautiful boys Mikey, Maximus and Alexander. I've been married since May 2005, and have since become a step-mother to 3 more beautiful children. Robbie, Emily, and Olivia. Besides family recipes, and basics I find most of my recipes on this site or from my friends at http://thequalitycook.phpbbnow.com where we discuss cooking techniques and recipes and also participate in activities like unity cooks and the 5 ingredient cooking challenge.
My favorite things to cook
I cook to please. My husband is a meats and potatoes guy, my boys and I love soups and pasta, so we eat a little bit of everything. On nights I work, I prepare quick meal for the family; but on my days off I love preparing more substantial meals. Some of our favorite repeat meals from this website include Flank Steak in Garlic Wine Sauce, Orzo with Sundried TOmatoes & Basil, Mimi's Slumgullion, Chicken Marsala, Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini, Fabulous Fajita's, and Flank Steak Pinwheels. We have many other favorites from this site, but those have been repeated the most. I also love making meals and desserts that my children can help me with. Not only does it make them proud to have helped but they enjoy their dinner more and it's a great way to teach them basic skills including listening and following directions.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sunday's are usually spent at my parents house. The holiday's are split up between my parents and myself; however we all enjoy helping each other in the kitchen. My favorite holiday treat is olive salad that my mother makes on the holidays. I look forward to it at every holiday gathering.
My cooking triumphs
Let's see... Having four boys in the house (one being my husband), sometimes it is very difficult to make something that everyone will enjoy. I guess my cooking triumphs would include every time I get it right and make something that everyone enjoys and I hear no complaints through dinner. It sounds easy, but when you have four people to please with different taste buds, sometimes this task is hard to defeat.
My cooking tragedies
My biggest tragedies seem to be accidents in the kitchen. Usually cutting myself or burning myself. Recently I was using the julienne blade on my pro chopper plus. I accidentally julienned the tip of my finger. That hurt but life goes on. I bandaged it up and continued cooking with my finger raised above my head. Another one was when I had a frozen pizza in the oven on aluminum foil. I took it out holding on to the aluminum and it started to tear. Well I tried to catch it...and I did. Third degree burns all over my wrist and hands from the cheese. Guess the pizza wasn't really worth saving, but sadly it was still eaten.

Enhanced Spaghetti
Good for pasta aglio e olio...A waste for anything using a sauce. Thanks, will use for my olive oil based pasta dishes. UPDATE: Used this in Sausage & Broccoli cavatelli and it really added to the flavor. Since I use chicken broth as the "sauce" I used chicken broth for the pasta too. Much better!

Ed Zieba's Famous Family Pork Chops
The cooking method really does make the most tender pork chops my family has ever tasted. However, the seasoning is just so-so. I added garlic because I couldn't see how just onions and seasoning salt could give much flavor and I was right. The chops were perfect for the applesauce my family was craving but I think it could use a bit more flavor. I think adding onion soup as a previous reviewer stated would definitely give this the flavor I was craving. Thank you for the recipe, we will definitely be using the cooking method in the future, we will just be changing the seasonings. **Update** My husband told me these were the best. He gave them 4.5 stars, so I updated my rating. The leftovers absorb all the "gravy" and the flavor comes through more. Who knew pork chops could taste better the next day?
