I'm 28, soon to be 29 and growing up our guests seemed to always venture into our kitchen, which was always ready with sometime to share. Even if it was just tea and toast, which friends think is a neat, new concept. I learned to cook from my mom and her mom and more than one deep conversation was had over peeling vegetables or mixing batters.
My favorite things to cook
I like bake whether it be dessert or dinner. Haven't tried bread yet, but that's on the to do list.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favourite family cooking tradition is on Christmas eve, when the tree is decorated and the gifts laid out, we all gather in the kitchen to peel and chop the vegetables for the next days feast.
My cooking triumphs
My one and only cooking triumph is that I know how to make really good tea buns, a feat that my mother has yet to do.
My cooking tragedies
I don't think that I have tragedies, as such, just that things don't taste exactly as I remember them from home or it gets burned.
