Aussie Barbequed Boneless Leg of Lamb

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
We sliced it and served it in wraps with the sauce - delicious. I will make the sauce again for sure & use it with chicken or any other barbecued meat.

Rogan Josh, Lamb Shanks

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
I altered the recipe alot! I added 1 tsp chopped chillies, 1 tbsp of garam masala, an extra tin of tomatoes, fresh cherry tomatoes & I left out the carrots and mushrooms ( I just couldn't add them to a rogan josh!) I don't have a slow cooker so I browned the lamb shank & then added the sauce & veg - simmered it for 4 hours & the meat fell off the bone. I kept the potatoes large and it took this length of time to cook them perfectly. We enjoyed it with these changes.

Tart Lemon Ice Cream

I did use an ice cream maker - just to speed things up. It was the perfect blend of tart and sweet. Such an easy recipe.

Greek Lamb Kabobs with Yogurt-Mint Salsa Verde

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
I didn't use any vinegar and I simply used skewers instead of trying to skewer them with rosemary. I put the rosemary in the marinade instead. The sauce was delicious.

Pizza Sauce and Dough

Reviewed: May 20, 2008
This was excellent! we really enjoyed making this from scatch and simply topped it with mozz, tomatoes and fresh basil. Even though it takes a while - it's much better than frozen pizza. In fact, there's no comparison.

Rhubarb Muffins II

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
I made these for a friend who is lactose intolerant and on a low-sugar diet. So I used Alpro vanilla soymilk instead of buttermilk and Stevia natural sweetener instead of sugar (available from health shops). They came out a little dry but still good.

Chorizo and Lentil Stew

I had some kale that I needed to use up and I wanted to use it in something that would do dinner and have leftovers for lunch. I used the advanced search on allrecipes to find this. It was great. I think I overcooked it slightly though - my fault.

Mexican Bean Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
Overall, this is a good base recipe but I added a few more items (celery, carrots, onion and brown rice) to make it as filling as possible. I also added a carton of cherry tomatoes alongside the tinned tomatoes.

A very easy recipe. It's only fault was that maybe it was a little too crumbly - making it difficult to butter. Still, very tasty.

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

I thought the dressing made the salad taste too sharp, the strawberries tasted really sweet though. I would use a different vinegar the next time, maybe balsamic in a smaller quantity.
