About this Cook
I love trying new recipes. I got lucky enough to marry a man who will eat absolutely anything I put in front of him. He is not picky. :) I'm the kind of person who sits down every Sunday night and makes a menu for the week so when I go shopping that night, I know exactly what I need to buy and what day I plan on making it.
My favorite things to cook
Seafood! I love swordfish, shark, and salmon the best. Mmmmm mercury. :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas: We started making my late grandmother's homemade donuts for our Christmas morning tradition. For dinner, I made my other grandmother's homemade spaghetti sauce recipe and make lasagna and meatballs from scratch. Thanksgiving: We have to have my late grandmother's Party Potatoes! I also started the tradition of making Rachael Ray's Maple Glazed Roast Turkey with Apple Cider Gravy. Everyone loves the gravy!
My cooking triumphs
Turning a pot of navy beans into my hubby's favorite dinner ever! It's so easy yet his absolute favorite thing in the world. I just let it cook all day with chicken, cream soups, and hot sauce... he is in heaven when he gets home from work. :)
My cooking tragedies
While in college, for some reason I thought it would be good to add cream of mushroom soup to ground beef and cook it in a pan with some rice and mushrooms... it looked disgusting... didn't taste that great either.

Chicken Milano
Not sure what I could have done wrong, but this wasn't good at all. Very bland.

Spinach Tortellini Soup
This was just okay. It is really missing something as is. I love the basil, but it needs something else. Maybe mushrooms?
