About this Cook
I love cooking and creating new dishes for my husband. I also love to bake. Unfortunately, work and school take up much of my time. I am a registered nurse working full time in a busy Emergency Department and am pursuing my Master's degree.
My favorite things to cook
Anything and everything I can.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandparents are great cooks and bakers. They do not have a lot of money, so they often pay people for their services in baked goods.
My cooking triumphs
My husband is always excited about what I'll cook next. He is very fond of my soups and barbecue, as well as some impromptu casseroles thrown together from whatever I had handy.
My cooking tragedies
My brother will still not let me live down the time when I was in high school trying to make rice and couldn't figure out why it was so soupy... (I forgot to measure the water and just filled up the pan).

Butter Snow Flakes
Very good! I added extra cinnamon because that is how I like them!

Pani Popo (Hawaiian Coconut Bread)
So good! I made a few changes: I added 5 tbsp sweetened condensed milk instead of three and used 3/4 cup sugar. I also used a 13.5oz can of coconut milk. I used 12 frozen dinner rolls to fill the 9x13 inch pan - 6 is too few. I also topped it with flaked coconut before baking. Very yummy! Thanks!

Key West Chicken
I doubled the honey and added the juice from a whole lime and marinated overnight. Fantastic! We are already planning on making this again!
