This is just like my Mom made, perfect.
I did add 1/2 a large sliced onion, for my own taste.
Note - I used large, smooth skinned russets, and employed my apple peeler, slicer, corer. I had to cut the potatoes in half crosswise so they would fit, and the time saved was amazing, plus the slices were beautifully uniform. All I had to slice was the 'cores', which only took a few seconds.
