Cook pretty much daily, still learning to bake. Enjoy fine-dining, and then trying to re-create the dishes at home. Otherwise, find I can cook it better at home than eat it at an average restaurant. Although, MacDonalds and pizza have their place once in a while. Love having all 3 kids (8,4,2) help me in the kitchen. I find they try all kinds of different foods that way. Always have Sunday breakfast and dinner together as a family.
My favorite things to cook
Anything stir-fry, anything grilled
My favorite family cooking traditions
Husband's Sunday morning pancakes; Grilling in the summer; Creating an Easter basket with food to eat Easter morning; Christmas Eve dinner; Small but fancy dessert after dinner, insisted upon by my French dad during my childhood
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving dinner, which never involves turkey, but always gets everyone to come over; Mastering the old Polish dishes I grew up eating! Finally mastering homemade soup, which I think might be a good way to judge an average cook from a good cook.
My cooking tragedies
So far so good, although I do have some trouble over-cooking fish.
