I have been married for 20 years to a wonderful, hardworking man. I am very devoted to my husband and 2 wonderful children, now 14 and 16. I run 3 businesses for the family, and are very involved in my childrens lives. I don't like missing anything they do!
My favorite things to cook
I really love making desserts. But what ever my family asks for, I will do my best to make it for them. I want to cook healthier, but sometimes something is just so good, I don't worry about what is in it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I would say cheesecake for my son, and a chocolate truffle pie for my daughter. I have cooked spanakopeta for many years, my mother a french women married a greek man, and learned quickly how to make the greek peta, and baklava. She made it continiously through out the holiday season, as we all loved eating it. Now my daughter loves the dish, my son still hasn't acquired the taste for it yet. I will make one for New Years, and include a half dollar in it, and the person who gets it, will have good luck in that coming year! I love that part..
My cooking triumphs
I have always cooked a great spanakopeta, and just about everything I bake turns out great. My dinners are definitely getting better too!
My cooking tragedies
Well this is something I would like to forget. I can't think of anything off hand but I have many sad stories. Actually this past thanksgiving was a disaster. It seemed everything I baked or cooked, something went wrong with it. It was still edible, but wasn't my best. Oh well....
