Finnish Kropser (Baked Pancakes)

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2008
This was yummy....and easy too. I wanted something quick for breakfast this morning and this came together in no time. Tasted fantastic also. I put homemade strawberry freezer jam on mine and hubby used syrup. Some fresh fruit on top would be great too.

Couscous and Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
Made this tonight. I followed some other reviews and added some diced red pepper, sun dried tomatoes and feta. It was a pretty good salad. I think I might like it better with orzo. Thanks KRISTAB.

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2008
I don't think it gets any more refreshing! This is a great Sweet Tea. I doubled the recipe using family size tea bags (6 of them) and about 1 3/4 cups of sugar. The baking soda does the trick to keep the tea nice and smooth. Thanks cookincode3 I'm sure we will be enjoying this all summer!

Amazing Brown Rice Salad

Reviewed: May 26, 2008
Made this tonight to go along with our burgers. It was a pretty good salad. It came together quickly. I added some diced red pepper. Like someone else mentioned I bet some sliced almonds would be good in it too. I didn't have a bottled Balsamic dressing so I found a recipe here to use. Thanks for the post!

Sweet and Spicy Stir Fry with Chicken and Broccoli

Reviewed: May 26, 2008
This was really yummy. I made a few changes just to up the veggies in it. I added more broccoli, a yellow pepper, sliced celery and carrots. I probably tripled the sauce too. I served it over some basmati rice. It was a great healthy dinner. Thanks Amanda!

Hamburger Pie

Reviewed: May 21, 2008
Probably 3 and a half. I made this tonight and it was quite good with some of the changes I made. I followed the advice of some here and did one can of tomato and one of mushroom. I added more veggies as well. I used the onion, half a red pepper, I had a small zucchini that needed to be used, so I threw that in, about half a bag of frozen corn and the beans. I also added a few good splashes of Franks. All in all a good quick dinner. Thanks Corrie!

Jammin Good Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2008
These are fantastic. I have made them probably 4 times already and just realized I hadn't rated them yet. I usually do half white and half whole wheat flour and I add a bit of ground flax seed too. I have done strawberry and raspberry. But our favorite was using my homemade Wild Maine Blueberry freezer jam. Oh So Good! They do crumble a bit at first but if they cool all the way they hold together just fine. I am going to have to try putting nuts in it too. I bet that's a great addition. Thank you wwgirl.

Cranberry and Apple Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
This is the best pork chop recipe I have tried in a long time. My hubby bought some really thick bone-in chops and we wanted to try something different. The balsamic in this intrigued me. I almost doubled the filling for the 3 huge chops I used. I cooked it covered for about 50 minutes then uncovered for 10....there was still a good bit of juice in the bottom so I cooked it on the stove top to reduce it a bit and added a small squirt of Dijon mustard to it. Served the sauce over the chops and my favorite Brazilian White Rice (Thanks Nanda). WE had a fantastic dinner. My hubby and I both want the leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Thanks Valerie!

Made this last weekend and it was fantastic! I did it in the crock pot like many others. It was great. I cooked some carrots, potatoes and cabbage in the juice and they had great flavor too. The leftovers made the best Reuben sandwich. thanks SDK for the great recipe and the helpful tips!

Mushroom Rice

This was a so-so side tonight with dinner.....I have made much more flavorful rice recipes from here....I shouldn't have gone against my normal Brazilian White Rice from here. Anyhow...not bad but not great. Thanks anyway Jennifer.

Fairy Godmother Rice

This is a great side! I just happened to have everything on hand for this and was looking for an easy side to make. The only thing I changed was using rice vinegar instead of the soy sauce (I was out of soy) We all enjoyed it. Thanks Ryan!

I am still new to yeast bread...but when I saw that this was easy...I had to give it a try. So glad I did. This is a wonderful WW bread. I think so much better than store bought. Next time (and there will be one) I am going to take some suggestions and add some flax seeds to this. Thanks Nita!

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

I have never made a pound cake before. I was in the mood to bake and thought I'd give this one a try...I followed the recipe exactly...and some of the suggestions...everything at room temp, starting in a cold oven...it is fantastic. Moist and dense, just sweet enough. I can't wait till strawberries are in season to have with this. Thanks Nanci.

This was really good. I made it for Christmas. My husband couldn't figure out why I was going to have creamed corn....neither of us like the stuff in a can. But when I told him I was making it he changed his tune. Thank you Suemck for the recommendation. And thanks Diana for the recipe....I am sure I will make it again.

Cream Cheese Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
These were so yummy! I followed the advice of others and used all 8oz of cream cheese...how could that be bad! I wasn't brave enough to use my cookie press...(It still scares me) But I used a small scoop and flattened them out. Then the kids put the sprinkles on 'em. They tasted great....Santa loved 'em! Thanks Robin I can't wait to make them again!
