Creamy Chicken Dijon

Used half water half wine and also more Dijon. Next time I will omit the brown sugar. We wanted more of a twang than sweet.

Easiest Delicious Red Wine Steak Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2010
this was a clever idea. I added more wine than water and a little bit of sugar to make it more like a port wine sauce. Also added 1 Tbsp butter at the end. will definately make again.

Orzo Shrimp Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
Really good. I used chopped sun dried tomatoes instead of canned tomatoes. I had to add more chicken broth for the orzo to be soft enough. I did change the order of things too. I sautéed the shrimp and then set aside keeping it warm, then put broth, garlic and basil in the pan and brought to a boil, then added the orzo and cooked it almost half way, then added the broccoli and tomatoes ( I don't like mushy broccoli. ) When then the broccoli was done to my liking, I added the shrimp. I did not add the butter at all, which made it WW friendly! I will definitely make this again!

Roast Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
This was a good recipe. All ovens vary and some use convection so basically, just check them for your preferecnce. Not so hard to figure out. I also disagree with people who used extra virgin olive oil (evoo) since it's smoke point is somewhere around 400. Any kind of vegetable oil really does work best. Lastly, I did add more rosemary and a sprinkle of basil only because we love them. Thanks for a good basic, simple fail proof recipe. =)

Ended up mushy. Should probably use less milk and a heavier type of bread, like italian maybe.

Sugar Spiced Almonds

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2009
Just ok. Egg white did make the sugar and spices stick better, but the flavor was a little off. We love the spice, that part was ok, but I think it was too much chili powder. I may try them one more time using smoked chipotle powder. I expected them to be a lot crunchier than they were also.

Frizzled Onions

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
these were really good on burgers. You must take them out as soon as they are golden brown or they will have a burnt taste. Definately spread them out a bit on paper towels to drain and crisp up.

Caesar Baked Shrimp

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
This was good dish. I added a chopped tomato and some mushrooms in place of the artichokes since my family does not like them. I didn't add the breadcrumbs (using panko)until the shrimp was done and then put it in the broiler to brown a little. Will definately make again. Thanks!

Quick Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
I'm sorry to say, this was not good. We couldn't even eat it. I've made real marsala sauce and this was no where near. I think maybe it's the amount marsala wine, too much?? I'm a fan of golden mushroom soup and have made delicious meals with it, but this was not one of them. But thank you anyway ;)

Shrimp Scampi and Tomato Broil

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
Really good! Added 2 tbsp of butter before adding wine, a pinch of cayenne and freshly ground salt & pepper. When it was done, I added some fresh mozzarella and put it back into the broiler to melt a little. I had a bag of fresh spinach so served the shrimp over that. It was delicious! Even my 7 yr old loved it. Thanks, will certainly make it again.

Pasta Primavera

This was ok. It did really have a 'packaged' taste even after adding extra parmesan and a little cream cheese. The kids ate it and it was quick but not sure if I'd make it again. But glad I tried it.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew III

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
The Golden Mushroom soup is key. It's totally different than using plain chicken broth as another user mentioned. I used beef broth instead of water and only half of the dry onion soup mix. Added some extra spices. Added mushrooms in the last 2 hours. Cooked about 8 hours on low. Wonderful!
