Flatlander Chili

this was an EXCELLENT recipe. tasted fantastic - i made for a friends BDAY dinner along with some slow cooked ribs and i must say the chili was a huge hit. i made extra hoping for leftovers - but these were gone the next day. i've since had to give the recipe to most of my guests as they all liked it so much! i did make a couple of small changes due to personal preference / dietary concerns. First, instead of ground beef i used 98% lean turkey and i also added about a pound of mild italian sausage. instead of using tomato sauce and tomato juice, i used tomato sauce and a can of stewed tomatos. everything else was per receipe. Try it - you will NOT be disappointed.

Excellent of course given the ingredients! Two most important tips I can think of are use only the freshest seafood and DON"T overcook it!!! I added red/grn bell pepper to onion/garlic. I also doubled the amount of seafood and added fresh dungeness crab. served w/ good crispy french bread and passed on the salad (and I'm a big salad eater!!!). just didn't want to waste the space on greens. AWESOME! In fact making again this weekend.....
