Flaky Crescent Mushroom Turnovers

These were pretty good :) I cooked up some left over shaved steak and added it to the mushroom filling and sprinkled a little cheddar cheese over it all. It made for a heartier appetizer. Nice recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Quick Chinese Chicken Salad

This was okay...The dressing was a bit too salty for our tastes...My suggestion would be to maybe start out with 1-1 1/2 TBS of soy sauce and taste it first...add more if needed..I should have done that :(

Mexican Soup

Delicious Soup! I'm basing my rating on the 2 changes I made...I didn't add the green pepper because I didn't have any, and I added a can of black beans. It was delcious and simple to make! Topped each serving with sour cream and some cheddar cheese. I served it with corn bread muffins..yummy dinner! I have posted a picture of the final result ;) Thanks for a great recipe!!

Baked Potato Soup

This was delicious!! I had all the ingredients and made it yesterday and today!! I made it with the hot sauce yesterday and without the hot sauce today...It's delicious both ways!! Really really nice soup for a cold winter's day!! Thanks for posting the recipe :)

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

This was good...easy and quick, but it was very sweet. I would suggest to start out with 1/4 to 1/2 cup confectioners sugar and taste it...add more if you think it needs it :) I couldn't get it to roll into a nice ball, so I put it in a round serving dish and it looked pretty.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

This was okay. I have been looking for a chicken taco recipe using lime and with all the great reviews this had, I thought I found it. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't think the chicken was very flavourful. I added a canned chipotle pepper with a little juice from the can to spice them up and they were better. I like my chicken tacos well seasoned, and this wasn't what I was looking for. I guess I will continue to look. Thanks!

California Grilled Veggie Sandwich

This was very tasty, however I felt it was a lot of work for a vegetable sandwich :) I don't think the mayo/lemon mixture was needed. There was enough flavor going on with all the veggies. It was 21 degrees outside and I was NOT grilling out there, so I used my George Foreman grill...I don't recommend doing it that way, because it was not big enough to accomodate all the veggies I had cut up and it took forever to cook them. I should have roasted them in the oven... This was a change of pace from what I usually cook for dinner so I am glad I tried it. Thanks for posting.

Nana's Apple Crisp

OMG!! I had some leftover cinnamon and sugared apples from a pie recipe and decided to use them for this. WOWZA! What a great recipe! I served it warm with some cool whip on top..for breakfast!! Absolutely delicious! Just the right amount of sweetness :) Nana's Apple Crisp ROCKS!! Thanks for sharing!!

Garden Pasta Salad

I need a great pasta salad for a party I'm hosting in 2 weeks and with all the great reviews, I thought I found it. This recipe needs something. Not sure what. I followed it to a T, and took a few other suggestions from other reviewers and although we ate it, it was not what I expected from all the great reviews. I guess I will continue to look.

Apple Sheet Cake

This is a nice recipe and it has a great taste, but the crust was difficult to work with. It was sooo sticky ;) I had to add more flour in order to roll it into the pan. I'm horrible at making my own pie crusts, so it was probably me. Therefore, I am giving it 5 stars. Great recipe for a potluck or party :) Thanks for sharing.

Marinated Flank Steak

I marinated this for 9 hours and although it was tasty, the meat was not as tender as I thought and hoped it would be. Maybe it was just the piece of meat? I grilled some veggies and we made fajitas. Another reviewer said the meat was so tender it could be cut with a fork...that would be my dream :) Anyway, it's flavorful, so I'm giving it 4 stars :)

Egg Custard Pie II

This was pretty good. It's a very mild tasting custard pie. It seemed a bit watery when I took a bite, but the taste is good and it was a really simple pie to make. The next time I think I'll add some coconut to make coconut custard pie :)

Cold Oven Pound Cake

I made this for our Easter dessert yesterday. This is a nice simple recipe with simple ingredients that I had on hand. I did add a splash of lemon extract to give it a little more flavor. I made a simple cream cheese frosting and drizzled it over the top and sliced up some strawberries. It was loved by all :)
