Nana's Apple Crisp

OMG!! I had some leftover cinnamon and sugared apples from a pie recipe and decided to use them for this. WOWZA! What a great recipe! I served it warm with some cool whip on top..for breakfast!! Absolutely delicious! Just the right amount of sweetness :) Nana's Apple Crisp ROCKS!! Thanks for sharing!!

Garden Pasta Salad

I need a great pasta salad for a party I'm hosting in 2 weeks and with all the great reviews, I thought I found it. This recipe needs something. Not sure what. I followed it to a T, and took a few other suggestions from other reviewers and although we ate it, it was not what I expected from all the great reviews. I guess I will continue to look.

Apple Sheet Cake

This is a nice recipe and it has a great taste, but the crust was difficult to work with. It was sooo sticky ;) I had to add more flour in order to roll it into the pan. I'm horrible at making my own pie crusts, so it was probably me. Therefore, I am giving it 5 stars. Great recipe for a potluck or party :) Thanks for sharing.

Marinated Flank Steak

I marinated this for 9 hours and although it was tasty, the meat was not as tender as I thought and hoped it would be. Maybe it was just the piece of meat? I grilled some veggies and we made fajitas. Another reviewer said the meat was so tender it could be cut with a fork...that would be my dream :) Anyway, it's flavorful, so I'm giving it 4 stars :)

Egg Custard Pie II

This was pretty good. It's a very mild tasting custard pie. It seemed a bit watery when I took a bite, but the taste is good and it was a really simple pie to make. The next time I think I'll add some coconut to make coconut custard pie :)

Cold Oven Pound Cake

I made this for our Easter dessert yesterday. This is a nice simple recipe with simple ingredients that I had on hand. I did add a splash of lemon extract to give it a little more flavor. I made a simple cream cheese frosting and drizzled it over the top and sliced up some strawberries. It was loved by all :)

Corned Beef Roast

This oven method did not work for me at all. The corned beef would just not cook..after 3 hours, I took it out of the oven and simmered it on top of the stove. It came out fine :)

Southwestern Caesar Salad

This was pretty good. I added corn and black beans and I rolled everything up in a wrap :) I suggest to go easy on the mayo at first...you can always add-you can't take away :)Even though I only used a 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, I thought the sauce was a little bit too mayonnaise-y...I think cream cheese would be better. I threw in some fresh cilantro too...which makes every Mexican dish taste fantabulous!! (IMO) This recipe is definitely worth trying :)

Chicken Hurry

I'm giving this 5 stars...the sauce was delicious and was so easy to make :) I did add a little barbecue sauce to the ketchup and onion soup mixture and I omitted the brown sugar because the barbecue sauce contains brown sugar;) I also took the advice of others and placed the chicken drumsticks that I used for this on a bed of onions. I cooked it for 2 hours and it was fantastic! Really nice recipe to have on hand when you don't feel like going grocery shopping :) Thanks for sharing!!

Easy and Elegant Pork Tenderloin

Okay, this was delicious! I never cook pork roasts because they come out dry and nasty, but this was so easy and delicious! I did season the roast a little bit before adding the bread crumbs. Thanks for posting this recipe. I will definitely be making it again.

This was delicious! I wish I thought to double the recipe because there wasn't enough for all 4 of us to have seconds :( I took the advise of someone else and added some chunky peanut butter in with the broth and cornstarch and it thickened up nicely. Thanks for sharing this recipe :)
