I just started learning to cook not too long ago. After many years of enjoying meals being cooked for me, I have taken the initiative to actually make my own meals. I was very nervous at first but little by little, I have gained some confidence in the kitchen. I am looking forward to preparing many more meals in the future and being able to make my own recipes to suit myself and those with similar taste.
My favorite things to cook
I love Italian food and I am also a huge fan of Asian cuisine. But Im also a huge fan of southern style food. Can't beat a good ribeye. My girlfriend and I are avid restaurant hoppers and lately I have been getting more ideas about what I would like to learn to cook.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother is a great cook. Being from Ecuador, a lot of the food I grew up eating is mainly south american influenced. Everything from platanos, arepas, arroz con pollo, etc. We reguraly get together for family feasts were my mother and sister do the majority of the cooking
My cooking triumphs
My very first Ribeye cooked medium. I never thought I could make such a delicious steak. And the fact that I didn't over do it (which is always my greates fear) made it even sweeter.
My cooking tragedies
Oh Chicken Marsala, how your preparation escapes me!
