Birthday Baking with Help
About this Cook
I'm a stay at home mom, with two kids. I try to keep fit my doing yoga and pilates whenever I can. I'm an avid reader and a very amature photographer.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to bake! Any occasion is a reason to bake cookies. There are so many dessert recipes I'm itching to try, I just don't think I'll ever be able to make them all! For Christmas, I give friends and family a big tray of about 15-20 different kinds of cookies! I go a little crazy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Spanakopita and Baklava. I'm Greek and of course love Greek food. I'm trying to pick up on my moms way of cooking. She doesn't follow any recipes, they are all in her head, straight from the old countyr.
My cooking triumphs
Roasts and Turkey's. I get a little intimidated by big chunks of meat. Also, making Spanakopita with homemade dough (no phyllo in this pie). And Pie crusts!
My cooking tragedies
Malasian pizza. My husband will never let me live down that brown sticky mess

Easy Marinated Pork Tenderloin
I was really pleased with this marinade. I totally eyeballed the measurements, but the combination of ingredients was perfect. I'll be using this over and over.

Cherry Chocolate Chunk Cookies
I loved these cookies, the cherries add such a nice contrast to the chocolate chunks. I typically leave out nuts from cookie recipes, but I added them here and they were wonderful. I baked mine about a minute less to keep them soft and I substituted white whole wheat flour for half the flout listed. Great recipe.

Light Oat Bread
This bread is wonderful! So moist and delicious, I can't stop eating. I'll be making another loaf soon. The only change I made is I used 1/4 cup of honey in place of the brown sugar. It adds just a nice hint of honey taste that I was looking for. Great recipe.
