Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
Very good and very simple. I only used 2 Tbl of butter and it was perfect. I also sauteed some onions in the butter and mixed the spices in the butter to make it easier to mix with the potatoes.

Roasted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
Very easy but the sauerkraut that fell off the sides of the tenderloin burnt to the pan and made it difficult to clean. I'll definitely make this again but will line the pan with foil first.

Beef Stew II

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
Great classic stew recipe. I added 2 large cubed potatoes and 1 jumbo cubed sweet potato. Also used beef stock instead of water. Turned out great except it didn't take anywhere near 10 hours on low. Even with large chunks of potatoes it was completely done in less than 7 hours.

German Red Cabbage

Very tasty! I decreased the amount of sugar by 1/2 and it was still very good.

Zucchini Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
Delicious way to use up the abundance of zucchini that comes along every summer! Anyone who doesn't like this recipe probably didn't make it right. I've made it every week since the zucchini was ready and it never lasts more than a day at my house. I usually add about 2 cups more zucchini to make the filling thicker (and to use more zucchini) and add a little more spice than called for.

Very good but a tad too sweet for my taste.

Easy Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
Great simple recipe. Only took about 5 minutes to prep. Next time I make it I will spread the fruit out more, piling it in the middle means the edge pieces don't get a lot of fruit and the center pieces are nothing but fruit. Also, I think brown sugar would make it just a little more delicious!

Crisp Pickled Green Beans

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
Excellent! Just enough heat and very crunchy! This recipe also works well with other veggies too- cauliflower, carrots, cabbage, bell peppers, or a mixture of whatever you like.

Buttermilk Pie

Reviewed: May 7, 2009
Excellent (and super easy) pie! Kind of a cross between a pumpkin pie and a blondie. I used half white sugar and half dark brown sugar to give it a more carmelized flavor.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2009
Great recipe! I added water chestnuts, carrots, onions, and roasted red and green peppers and doubled the sauce. It was the perfect consistency to serve with a side of brown rice. Highly recommended!

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
Very good but needs a little more spice. Also, bake on a cooling rack set on a baking sheet to get them crispier.

Super recipe! It's different from a regular old grilled chicken salad and even my meat and potatoes boyfriend thought it was very filling.

Dog Treats I

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
My dogs loved these! Next time I will bake them for a shorter time as my dogs prefer softer treats- they really liked the raw dough. Baking these for the full time makes them very crunchy.

Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
Very versatile and filling soup. Similar to a minestrone. In addition to the recipe, I used some extra frozen veggies from my freezer (zucchini) and a little extra tomato juice and ended up with two 5 quart pots full of soup. Next time I'll only make half a recipe but now I have plenty in my freezer for a quick meal anytime.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
Very chocolatey and rich. I made cupcakes and baked for 20 mins. I would definitely recommend mini chips because I used regular ones and they all sank to the bottom and make the paper stick to the cupcake.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
This recipe freezes and reheats very well. I think it needs a little more kick though. I added lots of garlic to the sauce and made a parmesan cheese and seasoned bread crumb mixture to put on the top. The bread crumbs add a great crunch and extra flavor.

Jennifer's Granola

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
Very good granola! One suggestion- put it in two 9x13 pans to bake it because one pan doesn't allow much room for stirring, and it browns more evenly when it's in a thinner layer.
