Premium Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
I love this crust!! I made it a few weeks ago and it was totally soggy, but that was because all I had was a sheet pan to cook it on:( I bought a pizza screen and put a piece of parchment on it. The crust turned out fantastic, and very thin! Thank you!

Breadsticks with Parmesan Butter

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
Absolutely fantastic!! I halved the recipe and used a whole egg like another reviewer did. I also followed her advice and added some Italian Seasoning to the dough, then right out of the oven I brushed with melted butter seasoned with Johnny's Garlic Spread (it's powder) and sprinkled parmesan on top....perfect! Oh and I would suggest making the sticks half the size instructed. The ones that I didn't do that to were like loaves of bread!!! But I did let them rest a lot longer:) Thank you!!!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
OH MY GOSH! Sooooooooooo good!!! This is what a brownie is supposed to be. Not too cakey, not too gooey, just super thick and delicious! I used 1/2 brown sugar 1/2 white, like others suggested and it worked great. I tested the center with a knife after 35 minutes and it came out gooey, baked for 8 more minutes and it was gooey again, until I used a toothpick-duh! It was totally done, I think the chocolate chips were what made it seem gooey still! So it was a TINY bit overdone, still...so tasty!!! Thank you for a fantastic recipe!

Roasted Chicken with Risotto and Caramelized Onions

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
My first risotto! So yummy:) Love the balsamic flavor and how easy it is to make! I used only 6 cups of broth and it turned out perfect, it did take a while for it to cook though, longer than 20 minutes. Thanks for a wonderful recipe, and for those that have no idea what to do with the rest of the rotisserie chicken...use it in another dish. I have mine chopped and ready for enchiladas later this week!

Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins I

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
I love LOVE poppy seed muffins! These were great with the modifications suggested. I used 12 oz yogurt (1 lime 1 lemon), 1/8 c poppy seeds, 1/3 c oil. Now, here's where I messed up! Haha, I put the lemon juice in with the yogurt and everything, so I used 1 T lemon extract 1/3 c water and 3 T sugar for the mixture to pour over the tops:) They tasted great! Mine didn't puff up, but maybe it had to do with the altitude? or the fact that I used 1 1/2 c whole wheat flour and 1/2 almond meal instead of white flour:) Thanks for a keeper!

Chicken and Broccoli Braid

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
I love this stuff! My sister in law makes it PERFECTLY, my food never seems to turn out just right:) I did use "bigger" crescent rolls, that were like 10 oz a package, so maybe that made a difference, because it took FOREVER to get the dough cooked. I omitted the almonds and chopped everything in my little hand held chopper thing (you push the handle down and the blades rotate to chop everything very fine), well that worked great! It made the entire filling like a paste almost and it held together so nicely and the texture was fabulous!

Spicy Shredded Beef

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
This was an awesome way to use up chuck steak! I read the reviews about it not being spicy, so I used some cayenne and 3 chipotle peppers-I had never used them before, and they didn't smell spicy, but boy did it spice it up! Whew!! I cooked the meat for about 3-4 hours and I was skeptical about it being tender, because it still seemed tough when I tried to break it apart with the spoon, but after I cooled it, it was completely fork tender and shredded perfectly! Thank you for a great recipe!

Quick Chili II

This was great! It was very spicy and tasty. I didn't have any Cajun seasoning, so I just used some salt and grill seasoning:) Also used 2 cans of Kidney beans instead of Ranch.

Orzo with Chicken and Artichokes

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
This is good. I didn't have the pancetta, pine nuts or wine. I added some sun dried tomatoes, and used the water that I soaked them in instead of the wine, I also added a bunch of salt, and some pepper (it was kind of bland without the bacon). Also used 1/2 the orzo like suggested by others. I really like this:) I'm not much of a vinegar person, but it's not overpowering in this dish. Thank you for this fun recipe!

Vegetable Filo Pie

Reviewed: May 27, 2007
So yummy!! My mom used to make something sort of like this, but didn't use cheese or egg. The egg really held all the veggies together. I didn't use any cheese. I found some fun leftovers in the fridge to use though! Some roasted chicken, spicy baked fries that I cubed, broccoli, corn and green beans. It was GREAT!!

Taco Soup VIII

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2006
This was great! My husband and I both loved it! I added a can of diced tomatoes with green chilies and some fresh cilantro. I didn't have taco seasoning, so I used my own spices. It was fantastic! I'm making it tomorrow for my daughter's birthday party!---I did make it for her party and everyone RAVED about this. Several people took home the recipe too, and they are still talking about it-a year later!! What a hit!

Hot and Sour Broccoli Beef

I loved this! I didn't use any vinegar, mostly becasue I don't like it, and also, I just forgot:) It turned out really tasty. I would add more garlic and red pepper flakes next time. I actually liked how it wasn't super sweet. It's a keeper!

Sizzling Chicken Fajitas

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
This was great! I didn't have any worcestershire, and since I know NOTHING about it, I used the rest of Balsamic vinagar, which was only about 1/2 teaspoon. Oh and I used beef instead of chicken. I added some garlic powder and cumin, salt and pepper. Great recipe!!

Stuffed Tomato Basil Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2006
My husband and I LOVED this!! I didn't use bacon, and I didn't have any garlic marinade, and on my own I didn't use any cheese, but for my husband I did. I used a little olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder in place of the marinade. It was SOOO easy and SOOO yummy. My hubby asked for it again the next day! LOL!!

Kelsey's Favorite Stuffed Green Peppers

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2006
VERY YUMMY!!! I used brown rice instead of white. I added several cloves of minced garlic, onion powder, and dried thyme and only 1 8oz can of tomato sauce. I accidentally dumped a bunch of the thyme in, but it turned out great!! And I think it could have used another can of tomato sauce, but it was still YUMMY!!! And also I only cooked it for about 30 minutes.
