Wow! This was the best stew I ever had! I did make some changes that the other reviews suggested which I believe made the stew more flavorful. I used beef broth instead of water, and did not add the corn. I also did not thicken the stew with the cornstarch mixture. My family perfers a "bothy" stew. I did dredge the stew meat in flour, salt, pepper and paprika before browning - and I used two pounds of meat because that is what I had on hand. Normally I don't review recipes if I made changes with but this was such a great stew especially if you are looking for a recipe without a tomato base.

These pancakes were outstanding! They turned out so light but very flavorful. I followed the other reviewers advise and let the mix stand for about 20 min before cooking. My only disappointment was that I did not use REAL maple syrup - these pancakes deserve the real stuff.

WOW!! This knocked our socks off!! I normally do not review recipes that I make substitutions to, but this was so good!! I did not have turkey - so I left the meat out completely and I only had one can of black beans. I did not have any yogurt so I did not use that either. Even with these subtractions, this was a great dish - especially if you like spicy food. I can't wait to make it as written. Thanks for posting.
