This recipe was awesome! I served it in baked pastry shells and everyone was very impressed.

Anne's Homemade Chorizo

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
I loved the concept of using my own ground meat but the flavor just wasn't there. If I try it again I will add more chile - probably from dried, red chiles, and the cumin and paprika most people recommended.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
Very good. Be sure to let the chili "mulch" overnight as it really improves the flavor.

Basil Vinaigrette Dressing

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
This is an amazingly good recipe considering it has such few ingredients. It's presently my favorite vinaigrette and I urge anyone to try it.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
I'm sorry to be "out of step" with all the other reviews of this recipe but I honestly could not see what all the fuss is about. It's a nice basic potato soup, easy to make, but really nothing special to garner all those five star reviews. It's probably a soup that young children would like.

Mediterranean Pasta with Greens

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
I thought this was delicious and I prepared it just as the recipe was written. I couldn't find the olives already pitted, though, and that part was a bit tedious.

Party Mimosa

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2008
Very good - sweeter than the traditional mimosa but also smoother and easier on the stomach.

Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
This is the best sangria I have ever tasted. I only added one bottle of soda water because there was no room in the large container I used - it was a multiple recipe for a big party. Every bit of it was gone at the end of the evening. Thanks!

Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
I liked this dish but, after reading the reviews, thought a little more flavor was called for. I sauteed 1 medium diced onion, 1 chopped garlic clove and 2 diced celery ribs in the butter and proceeded as instructed. I also added shredded Parmesean to the top. Very yummy for the little preparation involved.

Pink Grapefruit Sorbet

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
Very delicious! It tastes exactly like the best pink grapefruit you ever had only better! I made it with 1/2 sugar and 1/2 Splenda to cut down on the calories and no one could tell.

Greek Chicken Pasta

This had a great flavor. Next time I'll use less pasta and more artichokes.

B'stilla

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
This was good but I agree with others: one more chicken breast, more cinnamom and sprinkle cinn.-sugar on top. Dust with powdered sugar before serving. This is the way I have had it in restaurants. Thanks! I always wanted to make it.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2008
This is the best cornbread I have ever made after trying many recipes. Try adding 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract for a wonderful aroma. Due to my doctor's advice, I used a quality margarine instead of butter and it was delicious.

Fabulous Cilantro Pesto

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
I only made the pesto as I wanted to serve it on ahi tuna. It has a great flavor but I won't heat it up on the stove again. Although I stirred it constantly, the mixture separated from the oil. Tip to the reviewer who said it came out bitter: walnuts can be bitter and I recommend using pecans instead.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Great flavor but next time I will cook it in a pan and transfer to a fondue pot as the dish "sets" as it cools.

Italian Meatball Sandwich Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
An okay recipe and you MUST like Italian meatball sandwiches. Probably best for teenagers. The recipe says it serves 5 -it's probably closer to 10 servings. I agree with others that there is no way you can fit 16 oz. of bread cubes in a single layer of a 9 x 13" pan. Be sure to toast the bread cubes so that they don't get soggy. If I make it again, I will try it with ricotta instead of the cream cheese-mayo mixture. As others suggested, I did not add water - just added a bit more spaghetti sauce.

Pork Chops with Rhubarb

If you like rhubarb you'll like this. After making the sauce & tasting I added 2 more tablespoons of honey as the sauce was too tart. Very easy to make.

Very good and kind of different. I would like to try it with fresh tilapia which is not available in my land-locked state. Very easy to make.
