About this Cook
I grew up with a mother who thought cooking was opening boxes and cans. As an adult I enjoy good tasting freshly prepared foods. My middle child had many severe food allergies, which forced me to make most foods from scratch when she was little. Thankfully she has outgrown many of her worst allergies. We moved to England in 2004, I cook daily because it is healther and we all enjoy the US flavors.
My favorite things to cook
fresh ingredients. We have found a local farmer that we get fresh meat from monthly - it is so much better than most things wrapped in plastic.

Summer Berry Parfait with Yogurt and Granola
Very Yummy! I made these into smaller portions for a coffee morning! Very good and different than all the baked goods.

Artichoke Wonton Cups
I was looking for a good vegetarian option for finger foods. I followed the recipe exactly as stated. The wontons were crisp, but there was way too much mixture. They were very large bites with too much filling in each. After cooking these I didn't like them enough to serve them, so I scraped out the filling and set aside. Reheated to serve with crackers, much better solution.

Baked Ziti III
Very good, will make again. It was a little meatier than I thought ziti should be, but very good. Great for feeding a big group of kids!
