About this Cook
I am 27 and I am a Maine transplant in Tampa Bay, Florida.
My favorite things to cook
I love making bread, pies, cookies, experimenting with the slow cooker and casseroles and having fun in the kitchen.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is Lebanese and French-Canadian so we're a mix between Tourtiere pie on Christmas eve and traditional middle-eastern Kibbe, Tabouleh and assorted other unpronounceable dishes all summer during our get-togethers.
My cooking tragedies
I pretty much burn anything that I cook on the stove top b/c I always seem to get distracted.

Lentils And Spinach
Absolutely delicious! Great on the budget and very low-cal and high-nutrient. Next time I'm going to double the lentils as many reviewers have said.

Yia Yia's Tzatziki Sauce
Delicious! I ate it all up with Gyros Burgers! I changed the yogurt to fat free (just remember to drain it in a collander lined with a paper towel or cheese cloth so it's not too watery) and the sour cream to low fat. I also halved the recipe since it seemed like a lot and it was the perfect amount for eight sandwiches. I added salt and pepper to taste.

Gyros Burgers
Absolutely delicious with Yia Yia's Tzatziki Sauce and feta on pita bread. I doubled the recipe and couldn't find dried savory anywhere but it's great without. My roommate and I devoured them!
