Elegant Fig Appetizers with Goat Cheese and Almonds
This is simple and delicious. The only goat cheese I could find was sweetened - with honey. It all worked well together. I always sprout almonds before cooking with them - that is, I wash and soak them in water and a dash of sea salt the night before, then rinse before using. This makes the almonds creamier and tastier!

Breaded, Fried, Softly Spiced Tofu
This was pretty good, and went over well at the farm workshare I cook for.

Rhubarb Custard Pie I
This pie takes the cake (insert dorky snicker here). It is easy, inexpensive, and non-messy. I pair it with the Basic Flaky Pie Crust here (http://pie.allrecipes.com/az/BasicFlakyPieCrust.asp), using butter instead of shortening for the crust. It always gets compliments and makes up fast.
